What is lymphatic drainage?
Lymphatic drainage massage is a therapeutic massage treatment. The massage uses very light pressure and long, gentle, rhythmic strokes to increase lymphatic flow, with the aim of getting rid of toxins in your body.
So, what is lymph?
The lymph system is part of your body’s immune system; lymph helps fight infection and acts as a toxin filter. There are around twice as many lymph vessels as blood vessels in your body. However, unlike blood, which is pumped around your body by your heart, the lymph system has no pump. Lymph relies on the pressure from your blood vessels and movement from your muscles to carry white blood cells and antibodies around the lymph system. Your Lymphatic System is what carries the Immune System through the body to help heal itself.
Lymph itself is a clear, slightly yellow fluid which flows easily through your body. It transports nutrients and oxygen to cells, collecting toxins on the way and then flushing the toxins out through the lymph nodes.
Drinking alcohol, eating too much sugar, drinking too much tea and coffee, living stressed lives in polluted cities — there are many reasons these days why our bodies are full of toxins.
What is lymphatic drainage good for?
Lymphatic drainage massage can have a beneficial effect on your general health. Because lymph is key to keeping your immune system working properly, improving the flow and drainage of lymph around the body is good for you in lots of ways. It can:
* reduce the chance of you suffering from minor colds and viruses; it helps your body fight off infection and speeds up healing and recovery from illness
* help reduce water retention; for instance, because the lymph system has no pump, if you sit for a long time without moving, the lymph can’t flow easily — this is why you may experience swollen feet or fingers
* boost weight loss, as improving the lymphatic system will improve your metabolic rate, which helps you burn calories more efficiently
Manual lymphatic drainage is also used in the treatment of lymphoedema.
Lymphatic drainage massage can improve your skin texture by:
* reducing swelling, puffiness and blotches
* giving you clean, healthy pores
* speeding up healing in scar tissue, so it may, for example, improve the appearance of stretch marks
We use a specific body work technique taught at international education facilities that specialize in how to move lymphatic systems. We also incorporate a bio meridian machine will help move the toxins out and allows the immune system to function optimally. This process is gentle and very effective.

Electro Lymphatic Therapy liquefies stagnant lymph fluids and
De-congests clogged nodes, or filters. The proper flow of fluids in the body is
directly related to circulation and effects our energy level and brain function.
This remarkable therapy, using the principles of quantum physics, vibrational
photon energy is used to dissipate lymph blockages that interfere with the
ability of lymph fluid to transport life sustaining oxygen, nutrients and
hormones into the cellular tissue. Stagnation can occur, weakening the immune
system, compromising the health and integrity of the cell by encouraging
inflammation: which is known to be the beginning of many common diseases.
Most illness begins in the capillaries. Cells are nourished when blood capillaries supply oxygen, glucose, nutrients and fats into the interstitial space that surrounds the cells. Water and blood proteins (albumin, globulin and fibrinogen ) are also fed from the capillaries. Excessive water and cellular waste pass back through capillary walls to be carried away by veins. Blood proteins, hormones and cellular debris are carried away by the lymphatic network, where they are filtered by the lymph nodes, then put back
into the circulation of the blood. Lymph nodes filter out impurities such as
dead red blood cells, chemicals, toxins, bacteria, viruses and cancer cells.
White blood cells that are contained inside the lymph nodes ingest and destroy
these potential pathogens. Sluggish lymphatic flow may lead to swelling,
preventing oxygen from getting into the cell bed: causing cellular stress, which
can lead to lack of energy, weight gain and illness. This swelling and lack of
oxygen are the leading cause of inflammation and pain.
Unlike the blood, which has the heart as a pump, the lymphatic system relies
on muscle contraction and exercise,as it has no pump. Some factors that can lead
to lymph blockage are stress, dehydration, lack of exercise, wireless
technologies, hormone imbalance, injury and chemical or heavy metal toxicity.
Commonly treated systems may be: Rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, weight
gain, chronic fatigue syndrome, lupus, inflammation, allergies, breast
congestion, brain fog, hormonal imbalance, prostate health and cellulite.
Cellulite is most often a lymphatic condition. It’s influenced by poor lymphatic drainage and excess acidity in the body. Unlike superficial cellulite treatments, lymphatic drainage is one of the few techniques to be successful in the permanent reduction of cellulite. Our unique synergy of spa therapies is a revolution in cellular cleansing, all natural and truly remarkable. You will receive Beauty & Vitality From the Inside Out.
